Vanessa McDonald, CTC, CSAP-BC

Hi, I’m Vanessa, and I love dogs, but I know what it’s like to feel in over your head. When I adopted my dog, Nevaeh, I thought it was going to be all fun, love and cuteness. WRONG! Instead, I was faced with many behavior issues, including a fear of strangers, and was left thinking “this wasn't how it was supposed to be”. But, then I decided I was going to help her!

After mucking through tons of conflicting information, I learned how to successfully change behaviors and get her over her fears, all while growing a bond that will last forever. I decided I wanted to help others do the same.

I've now graduated with honors and hold a Certificate in Training and Counseling (CTC) from one of the top dog training programs in the world, The Academy for Dog Trainers. I’m also a graduate of SA Pro trainer where I studied how to treat separation anxiety in dogs. I also stay up to date with continuing education and I’m a proud member of the Pet Professionals Guild.

I’m dedicated to helping you understand your dog and achieve your goals. We can do this with as little stress as possible and you can have that great relationship with your dog that we all desire to have with our furry companions!

I’m a lover of all animals! My husband and I live with our awesome family; Nevaeh, our cat Silo, and our rabbit Sam. Life couldn’t be better.

Vanessa was such a great help with our dog, Titan. He’s fearful of strangers and doesn’t like when new people come in the house. Vanessa helped us find a way to keep him feeling safe, then we were able to actually work with him without him going off. I didn’t think that was possible! Vanessa made things easy to understand and was kind to both us and our dog through the process!
